After moving from Durham in the North East to London to pursue her career in fashion, firstly working as a costume assistant for a low budget film; with some well-known faces; Frank Bruno playing a small cameo role, then working in the showroom at Vivienne Westwood, along with other roles in fashion, even trying out a magazine fashion department, Lucy's love of interiors was always at the forefront of her mind.
So naturally she went on to take on a trainee position with Helen Reed Design in Chiswick and further training at KLC in Chelsea Harbour. Here she learned more about mixing eclectic styles especially affluent and luxe along with metals and textures.
Drawing from her experiences growing up on her family’s farms in Durham Teesside and Yorkshire , and being surrounded by natural textures, objects and the variant colours of the land from all four seasons, this left a natural reference to this in her design choices today
